WE SAY
With machine-gun guitars, tight and mean drums and singer Robin Borghgraef going overdrive in the chorus, Sweet Boy is the latest single from Belgian punk rock four-piece SONS. It has been quite a ride for the group since they won the Nieuwe Lichting contest on Belgian radio station Studio Brussel in 2018. They went on to open the main stage of Rock Werchter that year, release their debut album the following year and amass critical acclaim in their homeland. Now back with a new album, Sweet Boy, the lads offer a “coming of age” record with this title track delivering a blistering attack to the senses, full of energy and conviction. Watch the video here. They are currently touring Europe, and are yet to play in the UK but we reckon these lads will go down a storm at the Reading and Leeds festivals. Brilliant stuff.
