WE SAY
At the start of 2024, we featured the Spaghetti Western meets Sci-Fi hazy rock anthem ‘Let’s Run Away’ from Birmingham psyche/pop duo Solar Eyes. Produced by Tom Ford and themselves, the track featured on their self-titled debut album released in February. Championed by Steve Lamacq (6 Music) and John Kennedy (Radio X), the band has also drawn praise from The Observer, Louder Than War, Rock’n’Load mag and more. Plus, their music has been featured on Match of the Day and Football Focus. Last Friday, they dropped the video for this psyched out blend of early Tame Impala, Primal Scream and a touch of Kasabian. Perfect for additions to psche and alternative themed playlists at DSPs, the track is also primed for a Guy Ritchie-esque synch to a film or TV series. Watch the video here. Later this year, the duo will also head out on a mini headline UK tour.
