WE SAY
The final artist we recommend you check out at the Great Escape Festival is RotD favourite SOFY. The Leicester-raised artist has come a long way since she decided to concentrate on music after being placed on furlough during the pandemic. Her witty and observational lyrics, combined with soulful, woozy and fun alt-pop sounds have seen her gain the support of BBC Introducing, Radio 1, Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and Deezer. At tastemaker press, she has found fans at Billboard, Dork, Clash, DIY, Wonderland, Gigwise, Notion and 1883, among others. Having sold out her headline London shows at The Social, Omeara, and Lafayette, SOFY has also performed at Glastonbury, Truck, Latitude, Boardmasters, Reading & Leeds, Reeperbahn Festival, and Latitude. Later this month, she will support Sea Girls at their sold out Leicester show, but before all that, the newly signed Chess Club Records artist will be performing at The Arch on Saturday at 7.30pm for Chess Club and Dork.
