Forever (Pt. II)
Snakehips ft. Kaleem Taylor
WE SAY
Premiered exclusively by Mistajam last night on 1Xtra as his Inbox Fresh selection, this is a brilliantly smooth and soulful track from production duo Oliver Lee and James Carter, alias Snakehips. Their remixes for acts like The Weeknd, Banks, Raury and Bondax pushed them to No.1 on Hype Machine several times last year and now comes the follow-up to Days With You which featured Sinead Harnett. This time around, we’re carried along by the glorious gliding vocals of hot rising UK R&B star Kaleem Taylor, who helped Tchami score a debut Top 10 hit in January with our former Record of the Day track Promesses. Now released immediately after that first-ever radio play, this title track to their EP sets things up nicely for their debut album later this year and an east London DJ show this Friday night (March 13) at The Laundry, which kicks off a five-date UK tour. Just like finding the coolest rare groove cut from the mid ‘80s, you’ll want to play this endlessly on a loop whilst sending evangelical emails to all your faithful contacts for them to do the same. Joyful and triumphant.
