WE SAY
Chicago pop-punk band Smoking Popes first came to prominence the early 90s and may be known more in the UK for their 1995 track 'Need You Around', which appeared on the Clueless movie soundtrack at the time. We've always been admirers of the band, so we're glad to see them back with 'Stay Down' - their first studio album in nine years. 'If You Don't Care' is typical of their sound, but a very likeable sound it is. The album has been released on US indie Appeal Records, and is currently available for license for the rest of the world. JF Tipped by: Yuppie Punk
