Why
Skinny Living
WE SAY
Skinny Living formed in 2013 when guitarist Will first heard the incredible voice of singer Ryan at an open mic night in their native Wakefield. With the addition of guitarist Danny and drummer Rhys, the four-piece built their reputation the old-skool way, touring the UK and the Netherlands, often sleeping on fans floors whilst counting the pennies. They landed a major RCA deal a few months ago and are working with top producers Jake Gosling, Mark Ralph and Steve Robson. This emotional and heartfelt song all about Ryan’s incredible bond with his sister comes from their forthcoming EP titled 6. Both Spotify and Apple Music went big on the tune last week with strong playlist adds on New Music Friday across several countries, and Best Of The Week and New Artist Of The Week profiles. This Sunday (July 2) they’re on the BST Hyde Park bill alongside Justin Bieber, then play Standon Calling at the end of next month, and upcoming UK autumn tour dates include a London gig at The Borderline on November 1. Honest, raw and authentic, we bet this beautiful song will stop you in your tracks.
