Sick Individuals & Axwell feat. Taylr Renee
WE SAY
Swedish House Mafia's Axwell teams up with rising electro-house duo Sick Individuals and Californian vocalist Taylr Renee on I Am, a Beatport-topping slice of euphoria, currently #5 in the Club chart. Originally signed at Amsterdam Dance Event, the track was debuted by Axwell in Dallas last year and has been building in clubland ever since. It's the second of two recent Beatport number ones for Holland's Sick Individuals (the other being new single Blueprint), who recently made waves with their remix of David Guetta and Rihanna's hit Right Now. Widespread specialist radio support has come from Pete Tong, Danny Howard, Steve Smart and Andi Durrant among others, with a strong remix package from Deorro, Nu:Tone, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike vs Wolfpack & Boosted Kids as well as BBC Introducing alumnus Jacob Plant. The video for I Am is the result of a partnership with Genero.tv, who worked with Axtone to fund young filmmakers; submissions were so strong that the best runners-up are being cut to the remixes. Feels like a safe bet for early crossover success in 2014.
