It’s been just over a year since we last featured Derby bedroom producer Jamie Clarke, aka Sfven, and now he is back today (6 August) with his first music of 2021. The 23 year old has come a long way since first embarking on his musical journey whilst studying at Leeds College of Music. His blend of electronic beats with sweet melodies, infectious vocal hooks and meaningful lyrics has won him support and airplay from Annie Mac, Jack Saunders, Huw Stephens and John Kennedy. Plus, editorial playlist additions at Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and Deezer. This beautifully woozy and potent song is the title track of his forthcoming debut album forest avenue (out next year). The album was written in Scotland during the first lockdown and documents Sfven falling in love. Featuring across new release programming at Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and Deezer UK, this Bon Iver meets Adrienne Lenker-esque ode is a warm and genuine song to open his next songwriting chapter.
