WE SAY
London-based artist Seraphina Simone impressed us when we featured her as one of our Compass artists back in September. She had just released her second single Hollywood $$$ and having been enamoured by her heartfelt lyricism, smooth clear voice and blissful production we have been keeping an eye on her ever since. We weren’t the only ones either with the likes of Gal-dem Magazine, Idolator and Clout among others all singing her praise. Released last week, O M D is her third single and most personal yet as she ruminates on love, loss and the impact of mental health on one’s relationship. It’s a darker affair this time around, steeped in emotion but still backed by light synth melodies and alt-pop vibes reminiscent of Lana Del Rey or Lorde. Set to release her debut EP in 2021, thanks to Women Make Music funding from PRS Foundation, Seraphina Simone is one to add to your radar.
