September
unsigned/ Catchy Tunes/Family Tree Music, Sweden
WE SAY
With two Top 20 UK hits under her belt (including the worldwide hit Cry For You), September's emotive and extremely catchy Euro-pop efforts have amassed an impressive list of achievements. Cry For You's worldwide sales stand at over two million copies, selling close to 350,000 in the UK and going Gold (500,000) in the US, becoming the first Swedish artist in over a decade to achieve that with a single. This is shaping up to be her next smash - the Swedish language version Mikrofonkåt has been an instant hit over there, shooting straight to No1, where it has been for three weeks, going Platinum. At the time of writing, she has four tracks in the Swedish iTunes Top 10. This is taken from the forthcoming album Love CPR, which will be released around the world next year. This is showing much of the same momentum that Basshunter's Swedish-to-English hit Boten Anna/ Now Your Gone had. Scott Mills gives Me And My Microphone its first UK radio play today on Radio 1. The track is available for license in the UK, for now.
