Semi Precious Weapons
Semi Precious Weapons
WE SAY
We first wrote about Semi Precious Weapons back in 2008 when we featured Magnetic Baby. At that time they were unsigned and readying themselves to play their first UK shows. This week they return in rather grander circumstances. They were the first signings to Haus of Gaga, Lady Gaga’s Interscope imprint and are supporting their label boss on The Monster Ball tour, which returns to the UK this week. They'll play Isle of Wight Festival at the end of the tour too. This single is the first taken from You Love You, the debut album produced by the band with Jack Joseph Puig (Green Day, Beck) and executive-produced by Gaga. Like everything they do (including their lauded live shows) it's an exercise in raucous, trashy, glam-punk fun. Forthcoming TV spots on this trip include Freshly Squeezed on Channel 4 and Live from Studio 5.
