Brooklyn four-piece Semi Precious Weapons have been just been voted 'Best Band In New York' in the Village Voice Readers Poll. In November they made their Tony Visconti-produced album, We Love You, available for free download from their website. Perez Hilton featured the Magnetic Baby video on his blog, which resulted in 57,000 hits on the video in 24 hours. BP Fallon (see credentials here) manages them and they're on their way for their first clutch of London shows later this month, see their MySpace for details. SPW are available for media requests - with their glam-rock shtick, which is equal parts mischief, fun and edginess, there's a lot to like about this band.
