Not Many

Scribe

Festival Mushroom (Australia)

WE SAY

Scribe is the most credible New Zealand hip hopper. Not Many is being heard week-in-week-out by millions of British record buying kids as the theme to Ribena's CD:UK sponsorship idents. When we first heard it, we spent three minutes thinking "Yes, international hip hop is starting to come up to scratch". Then the brilliant "Next time you come on down to North Canterbury" hook came in and we were blown away. This was top 20 in Australia and no 1 in New Zealand, where the album is four times platinum. He arrives in the UK for live shows from the end of August.
