All Love To Me
Say Lou Lou
WE SAY
Swedish-Australian twin sisters Elektra and Miranda Kilbey, aka Say Lou Lou, last Friday released their sumptuous follow up to 2015’s glorious pop-noir offering Lucid Dreaming. Having retreated to Los Angeles with a small creative team to experiment, the duo have returned with the beautiful and cinematic Immortelle. It’s an ambitious, dramatic and thoroughly sublime album. Lead single, Ana, blends trip hop vibes with James Bond-esqe soundscapes while its follow up, Golden Child dives into the realms of dream-pop goodness and then we have this gloriously charging, string orchestrated electropop number that recalls Goldfrapp at their finest. It’s a statement of intent and artistic vision, both musically and visually, that is rarely seen in pop and is epitomised in their video for Golden Child. With tastemaker support from the Line of Best Fit, NME, Earmilk, and Dork among others, this is a must listen for those of you who love extravagant and grandiose pop.
