Black Stacey
Saul Williams
WE SAY
We're Saul Williams converts since seeing his SXSW show (thanks to Nizlopi for insisting we attend). Saul is part rapper, part poet, part preacher, not to mention a successful actor, although we only found that out later. His live set is sparse but incredibly powerful, and it features one song with distinct crossover potential - Black Stacey. We were delighted to discover that this very hooky track is on his recently-released second album. The Times is one of a growing number of publications that worship at Saul's throne - see their last piece here.
