A track we first featured at the height of its A&R attention back in November last year, Black & Gold will be released in March throuh Island which won the race to sign this soulful, funky and infectious tune. Sam Sparro will be playing at SXSW and the Miami Winter Conference, and a UK tour with his band is lined up before Black & Gold is released. Remixes from Al Usher and Paul Epworth complete the package for a track that sounds like it could invade radio this summer. Black and Gold is on the Radio 1, Capital, Kiss and Galaxy Playlists seven weeks upfront after early tastemaker support. It's Jo Whiley's ROTW this week and Edith Bowman's next week on R1.
