22 year old Romanian newcomer Bastien shapes a rather impressive dose of lavish pop in this stunning debut. With over 1m YouTube video views and countless of mentions across online tastemaker blogs in Germany, France, Romania, and the UK, including Complex and Born Music, Stay With Me offers a tantalizing glimpse into a future star in the making. Carried by warm, soaring synths and the gospel-esque vocals of Bastien, Stay With Me skillfully blends R&B, neo-soul and electronica into one gorgeous pop offering reminiscent of Kwabs, Bastille and James Blake. Produced by Stefan Merz from Berlin-based duo, Frank & Friedrich, who Bastien guested with on their single, Higher (over 1m streams), the track is primed for radio airplay over here in the UK, as well as features across chill-pop, new pop and mellow streaming playlists. He’s currently working on his debut album, which will be released in Spring 2019, but in the meantime, we highly recommend you check out the glossy video and add him to your radar.
