Didn’t See It Coming
Salt Ashes
WE SAY
Following the brilliantly clubby and empowering dark pop number and RotD-featured Body Says, London-based artist Salt Ashes is back with this upbeat and energetic love song. Written with Grammy-nominated producer and DJ Dimitri Tikovoi (Placebo, Charli XCX, Becky Hill), Didn’t See It Coming marries beautiful dreamlike vocal melodies with huge electronic dance rhythms and biting synths, all wrapped up in her gothic-tinged pop soundscape. Watch the Kassandra Powell-directed video here. Her previous releases have seen tastemaker praise and support from Guardian, Billboard, MTV, Attitude Magazine, Noisey, Popjustice, Wonderland, Radio 1 and Spotify. Next month (15 September), Salt Ashes will be headling Notting Hill Arts Club.
