Love Is
Saint Joshua
WE SAY
Drawing inspiration from Frank Ocean, James Blake and D’Angelo, 26 year old London-based artist Saint Joshua crafts a soulful and cinematic sound, immersed in rich harmonies akin to Solange and The Internet. His debut single I Like, released in March, premiered on Wonderland and drew praise from Rollercoaster, We Are The Guard, 1883 and Popwrapped. Now back with this entirely self-written and CMedina produced gem, Saint Joshua continues to explore themes of love, romance and existentialism. It’s a beautiful track, filled with flowing dream-like harmonies and a strong, silky vocal that will have you swooning over the soft percussive beat. The track has been added to instore playlists in over 400,000 international retailers across the UK, and we reckon, would be perfect for streaming services R&B/soul and mood playlists. He is currently in the studio working on his new EP with CashyBear (Nina Nesbitt, Chelcee Grimes), Humble The Great, Jony Rockstar (Alicia Keys, Amy Winehouse, Sugababes), and Measure For Measure (Dua Lipa, Emily Burns), making him an artist to keep an eye on. If interested, you can catch him playing next month at the Hoxton Underbelly on 19 June.
