WE SAY
We first featured RÜFÜS in spring 2014 with their brilliant track Sundream, taken from their debut album Atlas. As the new year approaches, we’re just a few weeks away from the follow-up album, Bloom, and this second single from it sees the Sydney-based trio on superb form with a neat set of chilled beats and dreamy vocal lines evident throughout this addictive groove. They’ve just bagged themselves an ARIA (Australia’s equivalent of a Grammy) for their previous single You Were Right, played a world tour that took in shows across the USA, Canada, Singapore and their own homeland, and performed live in the UK too including a sold-out show at Brixton Academy. Now they look set to further see their profile rise across 2016. Recorded between Berlin and Sydney, this is a cool electro pop love song, full of yearning, but one that’s designed to uplift and make you dance at the same time. As December kicks in, we need great tunes like this to remind us carefree summer days with friends and partners. Turn it up loud, and just add sunshine.
