Coming in at under two and a half minutes is this spellbindingly gorgeous bedroom pop ode from Norwegian artist Ruben Dawnson. Released last month, FYALMA’s blend of guitar melodies and slick genre-blending production quickly found playlisting support at Spotify with inclusion in their Made In Norway playlist, as well additions to Kitsuné Musique’s Finest, Indielista, Dummy’s Bedroom Pop and Noctis Magazine’s Best Of The Week. With its F*** You stance to anxiety and a vivid video (watch here) building on the theme of the song, the track picked up further praise from tastemakers like Clash, Earmilk, Variance and many more. Ruben’s tender, intimate and clever lyricism shows a young artist not afraid to push his boundaries, and quite honestly, it’s an absolute joy to hear. Expect more of this when his debut album arrives early this summer.
