Darling
Rothwell
WE SAY
Back in February last year we featured Bristol-born singer-songwriter Rothwell and her gorgeous track Velvet Heart, which went on to feature in Love Island and become a Spotify UK Viral Chart hit. Just before Christmas, the 23 year old capped off a successful year that also included syncs with Nescafe and MTV’s Catfish, by dropping this glorious piano based pop ballad. The track effortlessly showcases her soulful vocals in this emotive and deeply personal song and was supported by Spotify upon release with a New Music Friday playlist addition. Previous tastemaker support has come from the likes of Clash, the Sun and Metro while Annie Mac and Adele Roberts at Radio 1, plus MistaJam at 1Xtra have all supported her at radio. With Darling, Rothwell is primed to build on the momentum garnered in 2018 and looks set for an exciting year ahead.
