We Travelled Without Mentioning It
Rotary Ten
WE SAY
Rotary Ten, a Sheffield-based quartet have just released their second single on DIY label Quick! The track has clear influences from a lot of British indie bands (Libertines, Smiths, we even hear some of Hot Club de Paris in there too), but it avoids pastiche territory by swerving around those influences, making an ambitiously constructed and very nicely executed record. After putting out some well-received demos and getting airplay from Steve Lamacq at Radio1 and Marc Riley at 6Music for their first single, Idols Of Our Own Design, this shows further potential. Rotary Ten are unsigned and available for management. JF
