WE SAY
Rival Sons are one of the most buzz-worthy names to drop in rock music right now. Their soulful blend of classic and contemporary rock, topped by the superb vocal talents of frontman Jay Buchanan, have earned the band a reputation as the righteous saviours of rock n’ roll. Lead single Keep on Swinging is the first from new album Head Down, and has picked up incredible press, with The Sun declaring it ‘resplendent retrospection’ (4.5/5), The Guardian notes 'If you thrilled to the Black Keys’ ‘El Camino’, its time to meet your new favourite band (4/5)'. Written and recorded with Grammy award winners Dave Cobb and Vance Powell in Nashville in only 22 days, the full length LP sees the band delivering on all fronts, from the straight up stomp of today's Record of the Day, to the more pop-influenced grooves of Wild Animal and Until the Sun Comes. Rival Sons continue their campaign with a month-long European tour beginning September 21 in Brighton. Video.
