I Love That For You

Ria Rua

Independent

WE SAY

Bursting with moody, introspective melodies and industrial textures, ‘I Love That For You’ is the new release from Irish alt-rock artist and producer Ria Rua. Influenced by the artistic defiance of Björk, the grit of Nine Inch Nails, and the eclectic energy of Sonic Youth, Ria has been creating a stir for her blend of dark soundscapes with pummelling rhythms and electrifying vocals since she emerged on the scene in 2020. Her previous singles have gained praise from Irish tastemakers like RTE 2FM, Hotpress, and Nialler 9, along with radio plays in the UK and US, and playlist support from Spotify (NMF, An Alternative Future). With its haunting vocals amidst swirling sonics, the track explores themes of freedom and self-expression and would sound perfect on any alternative/rock playlists at DSPs, spins on Radio 1, 6 Music and Radio X. We love the nostalgic ’90s alternative feel beating within this modern alt-rock opus - think the work of Katy Jane Garside (Daisy Chainsaw/Queenadreena) meets Wolf Alice. Watch the video here. Currently working on her debut album, Ria is a rising star in the alternative world that we believe you should be keeping an eye on.
