Taken from Fear of Night, the debut album from Andrew Leary and Oliver Keech aka Relation, Optimistic is a lovely example of the duo's sophisticated and endearing brand of electro pop. It is indeed 'warm and elegant electronic pop music' in the words of Popjustice, where first single Your Tiny Mind was featured as Song of the Day. The album recreates and updates their classic 80's electro influences brilliantly, but there's also a real heart to the songwriting. Fear of Night is definitely an album worthy of further consideration (Spotify link). JF
