Red House Glory
WE SAY
London four-piece Red House Glory formed three years ago when a bunch of childhood mates with a love of rock started knocking up some tunes together. This title track from their debut EP is a punchy, rhythm driven and slightly bluesy affair, taking all of the best retro influences and neatly reshaping them for an eager new audience; one that’s clamouring for authenticity and fire to return to guitar music once more. Here they deliver by the truckload. Things are buzzing for them on the live circuit with recent sell-out London shows at Camden’s Barfly and Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen - they’re back to the latter venue for their next date in the capital on December 1. Smart, sharp riffs, a great ear for melody and dripping with infectiously memorable hooks, it’s all executed tightly and efficiently for your aural delight. Royal Blood have kicked the door open for acts like Red House Glory to pass through into welcoming arms during the coming year ahead. Widespread acclaim through a series of hot summer festival slots seems to be well within their reach.
