A contender for one of 2016's truly great songs, Rag’n’Bone Man is flying up the Official Singles Chart with this wonderful Two Inch Punch-produced track. But it’s been the interesting way in which the plot has built for him across Europe that’s particularly noteworthy. Rory has been a beneficiary of the ETEP (European Talent Exchange Programme) initiative, and his Montreux Jazz Festival, Lowlands and OpenAir St.Gallen appearances helped kick-start success as a credible artist. Human is currently No.1 in eight countries, has reached No.1 in iTunes in 25 territories, is No.2 on the European Airplay chart, and sits at No.4 on Shazam worldwide. Into its 10th week as German No.1, it's finally hitting home in the UK too, helped by X Factor’s Emily Middlemas performing her version recently. Playlisted at Radio 1 and 2, Capital, Absolute, Virgin and Radio X, he’s also on the BBC Sound Of 2017 longlist and is BRITs Critics Choice nominated. The debut album arrives on February 10, and he’s confirmed for Jools' New Year’s Eve BBC2 Hootenanny. With two Shepherd’s Bush Empire dates lined up for April, everyone's far from being late to the party on this one. It’s really just the beginning. A glorious tune.
