RÃœFÃœS
WE SAY
Set to play the Radio 1 Dance Stage this coming weekend at Reading & Leeds Festival, Australian trio RÜFÜS released their debut album Atlas in the spring. It hit No.1 in their homeland - this featured track is the third single and opening track from it. Comprising of Jon George, Tyrone Lindqvist and James Hunt, the group formed four years ago and have built up a great reputation as a formidable live act as support to the likes of Röyksopp and Cut Copy, leading to them playing three sold out London dates at the back end of last year. Catch them tomorrow night (Aug 22) in Reading and then Leeds on Saturday evening. Then it's Cambridge's Lodestar Festival on August 31 and the lads return to the UK for more live dates in a month or so, including London's Scala on October 1. Dance heads can revel in a bunch of cool remixes of this top track from Hayden James, Claptone, Wordlife, Classixx, Casino Gold and TACHES. In fact, the legendary Pete Tong recently made the Claptone remix one of his Essential New Tunes on Radio 1. Bang on trend as summer concludes, this is chilled and beautifully languid electro house with a killer chorus and that wee bit something special which lifts it all sky high, soaring well above the current crop of dance tracks of this ilk. We thoroughly approve.
