Enemies
Pylo
WE SAY
Epic stuff this, from new Bath five-piece Pylo. Enemies is the towering lead track from their debut Bellavue EP - out this week on Naim Edge - whose simple, homemade video quietly amassed an impressive 100k YouTube views in less than two months over the spring. Rob Da Bank picked up on it, inviting the band into Maida Vale for a session in June and personally inviting them to play Bestival in September. Other fans include Dermot O'Leary at Radio 2, Tom Robinson at 6Music and Danielle Perry at Xfm, where this track recently made the evening playlist. Online buzz includes a New Artist of the Day from Louder Than War and a Five Songs To Hear This Week from Q Magazine, who compared Pylo to Coldplay. The band have put in the hours on the live front too, with a run of festivals including Y Not and Dot To Dot over the past few months, with a brace of London dates to come in October (see below).
London gigs: 25/08 The Old Queens Head, 01/10 Notting Hill Arts Club, 05/10 Purple Turtle, 09/10 Hoxton Bar & Kitchen, 17/10 The Monarch, Camden, 18/10 Tooting Tram and Social
