Too Much Scenery

Ponte Pilas

Pianola Records

WE SAY

‘Too Much Scenery’ is the forthcoming new single from Berlin-based Scottish/Ecuadorian quartet Ponte Pilas. This punchy-indie rock affair is a highly engaging and polished number reminiscent of early ’00s garage rock with a distinctive vocal and off-kilter charm. The track is taken from their forthcoming new EP ‘From Del Boca Vista’ that the band recorded in Madrid with producer Lucas Piedra Cueva and mastered by Victor Garcia. With its high energy, infectious guitar hooks, the track is perfect for new release programming and indie rock playlists at DSPs, along with spins at Radio 1 specialists shows, 6 Music and Radio X. Tastemaker support for their debut album ‘Old Enough To Know Better’ with producer Gordon Raphael (The Strokes) and early single releases have come from Clash, Earmilk, Tonspion (DE blog) and more. Having played shows across Europe and played the Great Escape Festival in 2022 on their first UK tour, the band are currently in the process on working on securing new dates and festivals for this summer.
