Hey There Deliliah
Plain White T's
WE SAY
An Emo/rock band from Chicago, Plain White T's knocked Rihanna off the top of the Billboard Hot 100 with this perfect acoustic ballad. Their album Every Second Counts, which has gone gold in the states, was released here late last year and will be re-released on the back of this single and forthcoming UK dates. Virgin Radio were playing it nine weeks upfront and it's currently Jo Whiley's Record of the Week. Six weeks before full release it has entered the Top 30 on downloads alone, which gives rise to some suggestions that this could repeat the success of The Fray's first single over here. It certainly shares both the early buzz and the timeless quality of the song. Watch the video here. JF
