The Words That Maketh Murder
PJ Harvey
WE SAY
Let England Shake, PJ Harvey’s eighth studio album (out February 14) is picking up notable reviews which single it out one of the best albums she has made in her startlingly varied career. The monthlies have given it early praise with Q giving it five stars and Mojo magazine declaring that “more than ever, Polly Harvey was made for these times”. The Words That Maketh Murder is an uncompromising, enthralling war lament on a great album which mixes poetry and politics to exquisite results. Two sold out shows at the Troxy take place next month and her first UK festival appearance this year will be at the Portishead-curated All Tomorrows Parties at Alexandra Palace in July. Video.
