Currently wowing the judges and the TV audience at home with her spectacular skills in Strictly Come Dancing, Pixie Lott has also been back in the recording studio, busy with this festive charity single in aid of Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool. First recorded by Isley Jasper Isley, it was then covered and taken to No.1 just before Christmas in 1986 in acapella form by Paul Heaton and Norman Cook's old band The Housemartins. Here though, a plaintive piano adds to a rather touching vocal performance of this great song, which also is the soundtrack to the latest Matalan Christmas commercial in which Pixie also appears. It's set to feature on her forthcoming collection Platinum Pixie, due on November 24, rounding up her 11 UK Top 20 hits as well as a bunch of new and unreleased tracks. A great cause, a gorgeous vocal and with a strong profile right now, this will be up high amongst the other big guns in the chart this December.
