Phoebe Katis is a talented singer-songwriter who is set to release her debut album Honesty next month with this featured track as its lead single. Produced by Vulfpeck’s Cory Wong, Touches is a gloriously uplifting slice of soulful pop with its infectious doo-wop harmony and funk-laden melodies. It’s an absolute feelgood gem, the sort of tune that will resonate hugely with listeners when they hear it with its all-round broad appeal, catchy lyrics and joyful tone. Having penned and performed the theme song to the BAFTA and BIFA winning film ‘Kajaki. The True Story’ (2014), sung for BBC 4 Woman’s Hour, and performed numerous live sessions for BBC Kent, she recently gained John Legend as an admirer for her ‘Harmony Fun’ a cappella video project. Next month she will play the Shoreditch Treehouse on 12 April, having previously sold out the Royal Albert Hall’s Elgar Room in December last year and supported Cory Wong on his UK tour this year. Currently seeking a management and publishing deal as well as a live agent, Phoebe is a talented songwriter with a bright future ahead and a knack for crafting upbeat and soulful tunes.
