Wish You Were Mine
Philip George
WE SAY
Ready for the first major new entry on the UK chart for 2015? Philip George is a 21-year-old house music producer and DJ from Nottingham and this track is currently sitting on the Shazam Top 10 at no.7 as well as being the second most-tagged pre-release song in the country right now. It’s a simple but winning formula - take a vocal loop from Stevie Wonder’s classic My Cherie Amour, add a retro nineties-influenced dance twist to it and just watch it fly. We’ve been keeping tabs on this for a month or so and with another three weeks to go before release, the plot is blowing up massively. B-listed by Radio 1 and with huge support already across Kiss and Kiss Fresh, Capital Xtra, The Hits & Juice FM, we’re certain this will dominate radio play, download sales and streaming charts right through the cold winter months and beyond. Philip plays Blackpool Rocks on December 20 along with Martin Garrix, Duke Dumont and Hannah Wants. When he drops this, let the party begin.
