Going To The Casino (Tomorrow Night)
Philadelphia Grand Jury
WE SAY
Philadelphia Grand Jury's recent London shows (including Camden Crawl) and their appearance at The Great Escape has perked the interest of labels and publishers. Their self-released debut album Hope Is For Hopers went to No 1 on the Independent album charts in their native Australia last year. We featured Going To The Casino earlier this year, calling it a 'fast, tight, hook-filled affair'. Another track, the infectious The Good News, is out on limited 7″ release from Too Pure Singles Club. Early radio support for them here has come from Radcliffe and Maconie and Steve Lamacq on BBC Radio 2 and John Kennedy on XFM. Forthcoming dates include Liverpool Sound City and Notting Hill Arts Club. London gig: May 22 Notting Hill Arts Club W11
