Nevermind

Petter & The Pix

Gung-Ho!

WE SAY

Petter & The Pix's Nevermind, which John Kennedy of XFM has given radio support to over here, has a great hypnotic blend of symphonic chillout over a reggae rhythm. Easily Tricked, the Swedish band's debut album, which was produced by various members of Icelandic groups Múm and GusGus, has a similarly eclectic range of sounds throughout. The best comparisons we read likened it to "a mixture of Massive Attack, Peter Bjorn and John and Ziggy Marley". Nevermind is a Single Of the Week on iTunes (UK) this week and the album, currently in the top 20 on iTunes, is definitely a debut worthy of your attention. JF
