This smouldering single from Perfume Genius provides the perfect soundtrack for a day of the year that in all likeliness sees more couples break up than get together. The superb Winston Case-directed video features gay porn star Arpad Miklos, with the song narrating the tragic 'if you love me, you'll leave me' conundrum. After being premiered on Pitchfork it's gone on to receive over 220k views. Hood is released the same day as the critically anticipated album Put Your Back N 2 It, streaming on The Guardian this week and tipped by the BBC in their list of albums to look out for in 2012. Other fans include Michael Stipe who called the album 'a beautiful and amazing record' on his blog. The Seattle songwriter's two London dates are already sold-out and with live sessions lined up on Rob Da Bank for Radio 1 and Marc Riley on 6Music, demand to see this outstanding artist is only going to increase.
