Candlelight

Paul Cook & The Chronicles

unsigned/Grandpa Stan

WE SAY

Paul Cook & The Chronicles seem to have found a way of breaking the heart of their listener with every song. Candlelight, if anything, is one of the more cheery tracks, promising glowing embers in the deep darkness that seems to have troubled Paul Cook at every turn. Having picked up support from 6Music and Xfm, they played a Radio 2 session for Dermot O'Leary with Zoe Ball. Produced and mixed by Julian Simmons (Guillemots, Midlake, The Shutes), Candlelight will feature on the first of four volumes (albums) planned for the next 18 months, with Volume 1 available exclusively through Rough Trade Shops on April 30, when it will be their 'album of the week'. Paul Cook & The Chronicles are available for live and records, and with more songs on the way as good as this, that surely won't be the case for long.
