Losing Touch

Losing Touch is the gorgeous new tune and latest release from Montreal-based artist, producer, engineer and remixer Patrick Holland’s forthcoming self-produced debut album, You’re The Boss. Previously known for his electronic releases under aliases Project Pablo and Jump Source, as well as his production and remix work, Holland’s debut album marks his first foray into guitar-driven indie-pop, and it’s good, very good indeed. Featuring Holland’s bandmate, TOPS’ Jane Penny, Losing Touch sees Holland grappling with self-doubt over an infectious and upbeat melody with a slick bassline. The track immediately made an impact last week at DSPs with playlist inclusions on Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer. Watch the Erin O’Connor directed video here, and don’t be surprised if you hear this receiving spins at specialist shows on Radio 1 and at 6 Music over the next week or so. Previous tastemaker support has come from Gorilla vs Bear, The Fader, Wordplay magazine, High Clouds and more. A brilliantly addictive indie-pop jammer.
