Passport To Stockholm
WE SAY
Passport To Stockholm is a four-piece London-based band, each with individual eclectic musical tastes. Chris and Tom are the lead songwriters and met as teenagers. Along with percussionist and breakbeat specialist Henri, plus classically-trained cello player Mariona, their skills perfectly combine here on a song that demands your attention right from the opening twelve bars. It comes from their latest EP, produced and mixed by long-term collaborators Carey Willetts (formerly of Athlete) and Gordon Mills Jnr (noted for his work with Ed Sheeran amongst others). The track entered both Spotify’s US and UK viral charts last week, gaining 70,000 plays, has been supported by BBC Introducing, 6Music, BBC London, Amazing Radio and seems to be growing organically in the regions too. Next, they’ll launch the EP at the INgrooves Presents night this Wednesday (August 19) at London’s Sebright Arms in Bethnal Green. With a debut album being prepped for 2016, expect festival stages to be their next step. Quite clearly, this superb song will be a trump card for them.
