Sleepyhead

Passion Pit

Neon Gold

WE SAY

The debut release from the new New York boutique singles label (from the person behind reputable music blog Good Weather For Airstrikes), Neon Gold Records opens shop with a limited edition 7" release of Boston band Passion Pit's double A-side. Radio support in the UK has come from Huw Stephens and Rob Da Bank and some XFM plays. Sleepyhead's obscure samples, synths and yelping choruses all blend into something fresh, original and quite addictive. A good start for the label and the band - we'll be keeping an eye on both. Passion Pit are signed to Frenchkiss in the US but are available for licensing in the UK. JF
