Parra For Cuva ft. Anna Naklab
WE SAY
Parra For Cuva is the alias of German music producer Nicolas Demuth and here he conjures up a gorgeous new take on that brilliant 1990 smash Wicked Game, originally by Chris Isaak. After studying sound design in Berlin, Nicolas combined his interests in classical and jazz with a bit of dabbling into the world of electronic dance. One of his frequent musical collaborators over the past few years is his singing friend Anna Naklab and it's her haunting, dream-like vocal here that elevates the song, giving it a fresh and current spin for a whole new generation who are currently wallowing in the world of chilled-out deep house with an acoustic angle. Things are building quickly for the single - well over six million combined views for the video on YouTube and 1.5 million plays for the track on Soundcloud to date. Initially supported by Danny Howard at Radio 1, this feels like the perfect soundtrack to the dying days of summer and the beautiful autumn sunsets that'll be upon us before you know it.
