WE SAY
Brooklyn-based Ben & Katie Marshall are brother-sister duo Paperwhite and this great track comes just over a year since their debut EP Magic. To date, they’ve impressed audiences and many influential bloggers too with showcases at CMJ and SXSW amongst others, and it was on a recent trip to Iceland that this fabulous slice of dreamy electro pop was crafted at Reykjavik’s hip Greenhouse Studios. Lush, enchanting vocals take you on a journey of the imagination where you'll feel yourself being transported to another world filled with tranquility and hope. Plenty of smart retro-sounding influences are evident, all helping give it that familiar and instantly engaging feel. They’ve been writing with their friend Brandon Sheer (alias Record of the Day favourite Sheare, who recently secured a publishing deal with Nettwerk as a result of us championing his work) and Get Away will be part of a forthcoming EP, with a full album currently being lined-up for April. Already big favourites on Hypem with all of their releases to date, we’ll happily have this playing on loop all day. Simply gorgeous.
