Paolo Nutini
WE SAY
Paolo Nutini is a 19 year old singer/songwriter from Paisley. Having recorded his album with Coldplay producer Ken Nelson, the early buzz is good for him. This, his debut release, is a track that pretty much sums up why that is the case – mature songwriting and a voice that appears to flip from rasping to soothing at the flick of a switch. He sounds like the real deal to us. Radio support has come from Jonathan Ross and Jo Whiley. There's ample opportunity to catch him live, too. He opens the forthcoming Radio 1's Big Weekend on the main stage, plays The Great Escape in Brighton and is making a number of summer festival appearances as part of his mammoth UK Tour. JF London Gig: Monday 15 May, 9pm Camden Barfly Single (free download only) 30 May, Album 17 July
