WE SAY
We’re often asked why we feature so much music from our Nordic friends and particularly Sweden. The honest answer is that their approach and ear for what’s working right now in the global music market often puts them far out in front of their peers from other nations. Here’s yet another example to show what we mean, this time from Stockholm-based duo PANG! alias of Kristoffer Kent and Alexander Fahlberg. Stuffed full of great hooks, their previous release Walking In The Sun racked up almost 21m Spotify plays and went gold last year, whilst their tropical house gem Touch was well received in the US. They’re also building a name for themselves as remixers (notably on the David Guetta smash What I Did For Love featuring Emeli Sande) and recently posted their own Game Of Thrones tribute mix to James Vincent McMorrow’s Wicked Games onto their SoundCloud page. They’re a name worth watching out for across the board, especially as they possess the ability to shape insanely infectious, super-cool pop songs like this. And we absolutely adore it.
