4x4
Paige Bea
WE SAY
Dazzling and striking from the very first play with its ethereal synths and dark, industrial stylised beats, 4x4 is the latest single from London-based songwriter and producer Paige Bea. Originally trained as an opera singer, Paige decided not to continue after she was told she couldn’t wear a suit to an audition. She then went and completed a degree in Russian and spent several years as a journalist reporting from Moscow, Kyiv, Hong Kong and Reykjavik. In the years following, she turned her attention to music and released her debut EP before the pandemic. Now back with a new EP entitled Goodbye, Then!, the project explores the obsessions and projections that come with all relationships - 4x4 is the second single to be taken from the upcoming EP release. The Line of Best Fit, Clash, The Rodeo, Enfnts Terribles, Wonderland and more have already praised the song online. Further tastemaker support for her music has come from BBC 1Xtra’s Jamz Supernova, BBC Radio 1’s Sian Eleri (The Chillest Show) and Lianne La Havas on BBC Radio 3’s Piano Flow. Having supported Rachel Chinouriri, Harvey Causon and Clara Mann, Paige will headline The Lexington in London on 10 November.
