Ou Est Le Swimming Pool
WE SAY
Ou Est Le Swimming Pool’s debut album The Golden Year will be released on October 3. A collection of infectious synth pop tracks, both the high tempo stompers like Dance The Way I Feel, which we featured last year, and more considered and nostalgia-tinged tracks like The Key. The sad death of frontman Charles Haddon in August (who produced the album with co-writer / producer Anders Kallmark), hangs heavy over the release, but the full-length can also be considered a fitting and lasting tribute - the album is the sound of the band making good on their early promise. A celebration of Haddon's life in concert form will take place next month with Chazzstock, a gig where a host of special guests will cover tracks from the album, with all proceeds going to the charity Mind - see here for more details.
