Sally
Oslo Twins
WE SAY
With its brooding, infectious bassline and joyful synths, ‘Sally’ marks the return of Bristol-formed, London-based outfit Oslo Twins. Led by songwriters Claudia Vulliamy and Eric Davies, and completed by Ed Lyness, Will Snelling and Luke Brown, the band follow up on their 2023 debut EP ‘Back To Nothing’ with this, their first release on new label, Half-Normal Recorded, co-founded by band member Eric. It’s a gorgeous affair, touched with yearning and melancholia, and sees the band venturing into cleaner, more expansive electronic territory than before. Early online praise has come from The Line Of Best Fit, She Makes Music, The New Age Magazine, and more, but it would also sound great on any electro-synth/alt-pop playlists. Previous tastemaker support has come from So Young Magazine, The Independent, Wonderland, DIY, Clash, WhyNow and BBC 6 Music (Steve Lamacq, Huw Stephens, Guy Garvey, Amy Lame). In the autumn, Oslo Twins will headline The Waiting Room in London on 22 November.
